Just because you're using email2, you aren't prevented from using basic e-mail.

If you are using the email2 Toolbar for Outlook, you can turn email2 "on" or "off" for any given message that you compose, or initiate the conversation to. This means that if you want to communicate with a colleague using basic e-mail, you simply need to ensure that no Private Email Network is selected in the email2 'Delivery Options' pane. If you are replying to a secure email2 message, you will be forced to reply using the Private Email Network as selected by the sender (owner) of the message.

If you are using the email2 Web Client, you have to use your basic e-mail client to send basic e-mail messages. The email2 Web Client can only be used to communicate with other members of your specific Private Email Network. But remember, your e-mail address is always the same - whether people are using basic e-mail or email2, they will only need to remember one e-mail address to contact you at.
